Pictures - My photo gallery. Everything is usually up to date thanks to digital cameras. I usually upload all the new photos during the weekends, but it also depends on what happens when. We just switched to using Flickr instead of using our own bandwidth for the photos, so while not everything is up there yet, it's slowly appearing. Give me some time (especially considering the internet connection has been so flaky) and then I'll finish getting everything up.
My Cookbook - This is my cookbook. Over the years I've collected a few recipes and I didn't really have them organized in any kind of fashion. A couple of years ago, I started typing them up in WORD documents and keeping them that way. While that was working fine for me, I found out that other people wanted copies. Well, this posed a little problem. I do not have MS Office at home, I use Open Office and, at the time, their formats were not very compatible. So I was having to find a machine with windows and make sure all of the formating was correct. This got to be a pain. Then my loving husband found this program in Linux that I am loving. It's called Tellico. Now I'm keeping everything here and I don't have to make copies of my files for friends and family anymore. They can just go here. Nice, right? Well, enjoy it if you want, but I'll warn you, this is my book and while they are not all of my recipes, they are all my versions of the recipes. Some have stayed the same, some have not.
Class Notes, Papers, etc.
Just to let everyone know, this section isn't completely finished. All of the links work, but there may not be content at each one. For example, I have the Educational section up and there are things listed on it's index page, but that's about it. I haven't had a chance to get all of my content up there yet. The same goes with some of my documents for Spanish. I still have the stuff, but they've been stored in an Abiword document and Open Office has been having some trouble opening them. Once I get this issue worked out, I should be able to get them back up in no time. Speaking of the Spanish documents, I know there are funky characters in each document, but those represent letters with accents and I haven't had a chance to go through and fix them yet. That is also on my list of things to do.My Literary Collection - This section is my Writing portfolio. On the following pages are various compositions, poems, short stories, etc I have written for a variety of reasons. Some are from my journalism classes when I was in High School and some are ones that have just come to me out of nowhere. I hopy you enjoy.
International Relations - This section is devoted to papers I wrote while working towards International Relations degree at Grand Valley State University. I have the papers broken out according to which class they were for. This will also give an idea on the general topic.
Spanish - This section is devoted to papers I wrote while working towards Spanish degree at Grand Valley State University. I have the papers broken out according to which class they were for. This will also give an idea on the general topic.
Educational - This section is a collection of all the teaching materials I had to develop during my Teaching Methodologies class. The material in this section doesn't just include grammer and vocabulary notes, but also articles on teaching a foreign language, lessons plans that I have created, and notes/papers from other classes I have taken. Basically, any of my notes and/or papers that were not a part of my IR or Spanish coures can be found here. Granted, how each document is presented may vary. I can tell you that typing up my economic notes was a pain with all of the graphs, so those will probably stay in .doc form.
Life Experiences - Life is all about experiences and this is my section to tell the world what I have learned. Afterall, what is an experience if no one ever hears about it. This section is going to have a TON of stories regarding my adventures, and misadventures. One can only hope that everything goes well, but, seriously, that never happens. Some of these are fun, some are depressing, some are life; but I've gone through what is here and I want to share. I hope this section helps someone in someway or they just enjoy it. I know I enjoyed most of these experiences. :)
Random Insanity
IRC Yearbook - Jesse runs an IRC server here at home. A lot of our friends use it to communicate with each other and a lot of times we use it to plan parties and make annoucements. It's a great little place. My father became a standing lurker in the channel and has even been to some of our "wonko burning" parties. It's gotten to the point where he knows the names, but he can't quite put them to their faces. So I made this. It's everyone who is in the channel. If you see someone you know and want to chat, come visit us.Quotes - I like quotes. They are fun and can be completely profound; and then there are times when you wish you never heard that phrase. I have a bunch of them. If you've been on my site long enough, you'll have had seen them. This is a collection of all of the ones I have collected.
News - I used to use this site to spread news about what was going on with me. However, I started a blog, myJaxon, in March of 2006 and have been using that pretty exclusively. However, I did not want to get rid of the news post I had here. Therefore, I started this page to memorialize the existence of a news page.
